Boxed Onyx Chess Set Wooden box when hinged open is the playing board; playing surface measures 16" x 16" open. Squares are 1 7/8" across. Box closed is 16" x 8" x 3.5". Greenish-brown dark pieces, White onyx is the light pieces. Mexican onyx. Pieces vary in size, from 3.5" high for the king, to 1.5" high for pawns. Both wooden box and pieces are in good condition. 40+ years old. Asking $130. OBO.
