This rifle started life as a .223 Remington, but was rebarreled in 2013 using a McGowen Custom barrel. What is a 6x45? It's a .223 Remington necked up to accept a .243" diameter projectile. It has a 1 in 9" twist, which is ideal for 90gr projectiles. With just the barrel swap, I have shot single hole groups at 100 yards and 3/8" groups at 300 yards using the 90gr Berger BT Target bullets. The gun is a great shooter, mild recoil, and fantastically accurate. It is a used gun, so there are some scuffs on the stock and exterior of barrel, but the barrel bore and action has been well cared for, and is in fantastic shooting condition.
If you are looking for a great rifle to practice fundamentals, shoot coyotes, or varmint hunt in a caliber that is inexpensive to handload and isn't overpowered for small game, this rifle would be perfect for you!
