Temporary Electrical Panelboard 16 GFCI Receps. I constructed a temporary 100 amp electrical panelboard for use in doing a complete electrical remodel of a residence. You must have the meter base intact and operational. Then a cable is run from the meter base to the panelboard and connected. A ground rod must be installed if not already present at the meter base. A ground wire must be installed to the rod. With this done you energize the temp panelboard from the breaker in the meter base. Now you can remove EVERYTHING electrical inside the house after of course turning off ALL the other breakers. With this done you don't have to fear any energized wires or devices and you plug your light cord and all power tools into the GFCI protected receptacles so you work safe.
