School desk from late 1800 to early 1900 functional today I rebuild some of the oak seat boards. The maker was Columbia foundry in Piqua Oh. The 1st seat in the row had no desk top in front of the seat and was often used to seat girls who were unruly during class. I had desk like these in the 40's. I may have used this seat once or twice.
