1922 Navy Blue Dresser with Gold Accents. As I worked on this classic 1922 vintage dresser made in San Francisco's furniture district the color kept calling me back to my childhood. The deep navy blue with highlights of gold gilding gave way to the Alaska hard tack staple "Sailor boy pilot bread." The hard tack cracker made by Interbake company is Alaskas unofficial cracker as 98 percent of all pilot bread made by interbake is sold right here in good ole AK. It was and still is my favorite snack topped with a piece of baloney or butter or peanut butter or tuna fish or my favorite.plain with a Yukon king salmon strip. For me life doesn't get any better. So with that said I salute u Sailor boy. Consider this dresser with its "hey sailor" nod to an Alaska treasure as a welcome addition to your Alaskan home. And if you don't purchase my boy consider buying a box of sailor boy pilot bread in the long navy blue box and topping it with what you will and bite into.
