Yupik Alaska Native Pictures from 1909. These pictures are part of the Sea Wolf Collection, and taken by Captain Madsen, after he and his crew got caught in some sea ice in the Bering Sea in 1909, near a Yuppik village. After meeting the villagers he decided to record on film the villager's daily life. Madsen's picture's, taken 110 years ago (1909) show the personal and even silly side of the natives.
