2 Nigerian Dwarf wethers looking for a pet kind of home. Both stay together as they have been together for 3-4-years.
A little bit about them-
I got Rufus and Homer along with their brother back in the beginning of March... All three of which came with overgrown hooves, lice, and pretty malnourished, and copper deficiency along with other minerals. I have since been taking care of them and getting them healthier.
Both boys are around 3-4-years-old and came from a clean tested herd (man who owned before had them since they were 8-weeks old and said he and his wife saw testing papers when they got them).
Rufus and Homer are not super sweet yet... They are still learning to be handled and take treats without being skittish. I use clicker training so we have been working on fear of lead ropes and being desensitized to objects, one being the brush (I have never had a goat that didn't like being brushed but these boys are funny about it). You can approach them and usually pet them on the face as long as you are calm.
I have both the boys on a brome pellets, free choice minerals, clean fresh water, and fresh vegetation for a few hours a day.
Both boys have had their hooves trimmed, been dewormed, copper bolused, and treated for lice. Both are finally filling out their spring coats after lice treatment but Homer does have some hair missing on his face and back from copper deficiency. Both of their coats are tinted red from copper deficiency .
Also, both are a little Chunky so I have been trying to not letting them have to much grain... But I am probably the worst at that like to spoil them brats just a bit.
I am asking $100obo for both. We are in Seward but can deliver to anchorage, Soldotna area if you pay for gas.
Both of them do have horns but are very gentle with them and have never tried to use them on anything.
Homer is the all black/brown and Rufus is the brown/black/white one.
