Volvo Penta 270 Outdrive, off 1981 Bayliner AQ125 4cyl, 2.15:1 ratio I don’t think it was ever taken off. I lost the center carrier bearing, in the bell housing, didn’t know there was a grease zert so I had to pull the Motor and outdrive. U-joints are in need of being replaced, they are rusty from hole in bellows I guess. Outdrive it’s self never gave me any trouble, mechanically sound, shaft & upper drive feel very tight. Shifted just fine, oil never showed water in it, I did not change the oil since I bought the boat 6 years ago. So what’s on the dip stick now is original. Never hit any rocks, case is in fine shape. I purchased one in the lower 48 that had never been in salt water and was in super shape, so during this pull I installed it, why not! Things that would or could need attention, U-joints, and water inlet neck. The prop is not included.
