1992 Chevy G30 Anchorage Prison Transport Van. Have a 1992 long wheel base G30 Chevy van, bought at Auction last November, was hoping to turn into a work van, but come to find out transmission was not working, it is a 480le trans and has no reverse. Van was Anchorage jail inmate transport van. I think it had the rear end switched to limited slip because it handled in ice and snow better then some AWD vehicle's I've driven. Van only has 65,000miles.. i think the transmission is salvageable, ive seen some reverse pistion repairs for 480le but i have no shop or lift, van is 2wd so taking out trans isn't a huge deal, but then again it is... i paid $1400 at auction, has seats in rear that need to be mounted. Also is parked in back of my property so will need a 4wheel drive to get to it, or if your serious i can pull it out to my driveway for you, it goes forward no problem and starts right up also has a new battery. 5.7l engine.
