CLASSIC 2001 SE DISCOVER LAND ROVER 4X4 FULLY LOADED WITH EXTRAS:
I am moving out of Alaska wanting to sell the Ken & Barbie vehicle to those who appreciate well maintained classic vehicles and have many needed extras for Alaskan driving conditions. I don’t have to sell it but would prefer not to ship it to the lower 48.
The vehicle looks great for work or an outing, camping, hiking, fishing excursion, fits a family and has a place for the dogs in back. You can easily take the back seat out and use the back for camping or big dogs. I have maintained this vehicle and improved upon it since first purchasing it in 2014.
Offering at $ 7,200.00:
Kelly Blue Book values the vehicle depending on condition between $ 3500-
$ 5800.00; however, with extras people are selling them for as much as 12k, I have taken into account minor things that could be improved, and also the new transmission and other extras. It does not have rust, and it comes with essential extras we all need in Alaska, and we also installed new interior wood dash/interior trim kit June 4, 2019, so it would look good for whomever purchases it.
The selling price is based upon Kelly Blue Book; other seller’s prices, and all the extras, plus new transmission and tires that are well over 5k, so I am asking $7,200.00 because it is well maintained and has all these extras, and used cars are hard to find with all these things. The asking price is $ 7200.00 OBO, the OBO means willing to negotiate but it has to be a fair offer. I also have most of the maintenance records or can get a hold of them.

2 sets of tires with spare for each set. Ten tires total. All on rims and balanced. Saves money when the snow falls. All with good tread.
Summer Bridgeton Dueler A/T ‘s Approximately new: $ 185-200 per tire.
Winter Studded Nokian Hakkapeliitta Studded Snow Tires. Approximately new: $249.00 $ 350.00 per tire.
Purchased and had professionally installed two LED off road lights with separate high beam switch in order to see when travelling in winter and to spot moose. $ 350.00
Purchased and had professionally installed automatic start. $ 385.00
Purchased new dash and console wood trim kit for interior installed it myself this May 2019. $ 300.00
Purchased new ignition barrel and tumbler set and had professionally installed May 2019. $ 250.00
Things I know could get fixed:
Bumper has a crack, still looks ok but nor perfect, a replacement bumper costs about $ 250-300.00 on Ebay, I did not order one because it would take too long to get here and install while trying to move.
Heater works but doesn’t blow very well. May need new blower motor, which is about $ 300.00.
The seats could be buffed out more, and some places in the interior steamed cleaned or have a professional detailer go over it better than I can.
No warranty but….
I don’t know of any major problems mechanically, that being said, I cannot warranty it but would not want to sell anyone a vehicle if it’s not generally dependable etc. Of course, small things happen with cars, but if we do agree on a price, I am willing to drive it over to Far North Land Rover in Anchorage and have them look it over, you will have to pay for the mechanic but this will ensure good (C)arma, so to speak.
