Cavalier Eggshell China by Homer Lauglin . Homer Laughlin Cavalier Eggshell China The Margaret Rose pattern maroon with gold trim. Homer Laughlin China Company established a small pottery plant—one of the first whiteware plants in the United States—in the early 1870s. The two-kiln firm, located in East Liverpool, Ohio, was first founded by brothers Homer and Shakespeare Laughlin as Ohio Valley Pottery. Very collectible are rare large pieces. I have enjoyed these beautiful and usable china in my cabinet for over 30 years but it is now time to downsize. Every single piece is marked and legible. 2 x 15" serving platter / 1 x 13" platter / 4 x 6" round dessert plates / 2 x 9.5 bowl one with lid / 1 x 7.5 by 9" sm platter / 1 x gravy boat / 1 x sugar bowl.
