Longtail mud motor for sale. It was made from a Backwater Swomp Lite Glider Kit rated for 12-16 hp. After lots of research, it was a consciences on the blogs that Backwater makes the best kits available and has the best customer service.
The engine is a 420 cc clone that has been modified with a NR Racing Stage 1 Hop Up Kit. It was rated at 15 hp before the engine modifications.This motor has been used to push a 1542 jon boat on rivers on the Kenai and also in the interior.
The boat is not for sale. Additional Backwater kits may be available this summer. They are the perfect solution for the typical DIY Alaskan wanting to run shallow rivers.
