Atheists believe that "a multiverse, for which there is no experimental or observational evidence, containing an inconceivably large number of universes spontaneously not only created itself, but the universe we live in as well."
Yet, the Christopher Hitchens' of the world assure us that their unfounded belief "is not a belief."
Nonsense!
Atheism requires a belief in the unbelievable--a belief in something which is untestable and therefore, scientifically unprovable. That is the very definition of faith. Atheists believe that life came out of non-life. That, too, is faith.
Therefore, atheism amounts to a form of religious belief, because atheists believe in what their god, science, cannot demonstrate, replicate or prove. So then, why is it that Atheism is not treated like Christianity has been by the radical Left for the past 70 plus years? Why do they not work equally hard to remove Atheism from the public marketplace of ideas, just as they have Christianity?
While it's undeniable that Christianity entails a belief in the supernatural and the miraculous; that God became man that first Christmas; that he raised people from the dead; that he rose himself on that first Easter Sunday; and that he ascended into heaven 40 days later, consider what atheists believe.
Atheists believe that something came out of nothing, that reason came from irrationality; that a complex universe and the complex and wonderful natural order that we see around us came out of randomness and chaos; that the most complex and densely packed form of information which has ever existed in the universe (the DNA molecule), from which all life arose, came from something other than an intelligence; that consciousness itself came from non-consciousness; and that life emerged from non-life.
This is a bridge too far for a Christian, for whom faith and reason tell him that for the universe to have been created from nothing is an absurd notion. Life itself presupposes a Creator. There is absolutely no evidence that life or the information that makes life possible can arise from non-life.
