Excellent condition, all original metal and wood finish, functions perfectly, beautiful case hardening colors on lever, bore perfect of course, this is the first year of the featherweight model and the first year of factory drilled and tapped receiver (1955) these are probably the best 99's ever. Pre factory move that happened in 1960 and subsequent decline in overall quality, this is one of the best. Chances of ever finding a pre 1960 featherweight in this condition is about zero. Hardly even broken in yet, like a time capsule of the great American gun manufacturing era of over 70 years ago.300 sav ammo is still easy to find, this rifle includes a bran new box of ammunition. Has a good scope, all sighted in 4x with a post, very clear and bright, wood or metal never drilled. Look at the pictures it is beautiful and very accurate. I'd like to trade it for a savage model 1920 in 250 savage or sell it for $850. Can meet in Anchorage too
