375 Ruger, Project Rifle On1917 Action. This rifle has the super strong 1917 Remington action. It was rebarrel by the Shaw company and they opened up the rails and bolt face for the 375 Ruger cartridge. I put the action into a fairly light Boyds laminate stock and glass bedded it. Shaw had installed a one piece scope base. I was using the rifle for load development and the single piece scope mount ( and scope) dropped off the rifle after about 60 rounds fired. Shaw had used only a 3 screw mount and the screws were not nearly large enough. So the rifle needs to be drilled and taped for larger screws to handle the significant recoil. It also needs work with the magazine follower. The current stock is OK but a nicer stock would be good. I have a set of dies that goes with the rifle. I may still have 375 Ruger Brass as well. text or call for better photos. Moving calls for clearing out the safes.
