Like new condition. Only one box of shells fired. This model Marlin lever action is called the Guide Gun, thus the G designation. I purchased the rifle for hiking in bear country but is such a beautiful piece I decided to keep it in my gun safe and carried a pistol instead. I'm moving and don't want to chance damaging the finish or bluing. Used gun websites have a price rating for one in 80% condition at over $900 but this one is in near 100% condition.
