The last lee Enfield rifles ever made, and the last bolt action rifle ever to be issued to regular Army troops. Visually nearly identical to the SMLE MKIII British rifles except designed from the beginning to fire the 7.62x51 NATO (.308 WIN) these rifles were NOT converted from .303 British they were made with strengthened steel to handle the more high pressure 7.62x51 NATO round. All numbers matching bore is EXCELLENT, shoots straight functions great. Detachable 10 round magazine accepts NATO stripper loading clips as well. Ammo for this rifle is not only more high performance than the .303 British but much easier to find for sale. Includes original Ishapore Arsenal sling. Includes a box of ammo. I will be in the valley as well
