## Position Overview
As a Paralegal, you will assist our team of attorneys with case preparation, document management, research, and other responsibilities. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our legal processes and contributing to the success of our firm.

## Key Responsibilities
- Case Management: Assist in preparing legal documents for court filings, legal proceedings, and other related matters.
- Research: Conduct legal research on statutes, case law, and local legal precedents.
- Documentation: Draft and review legal documents, correspondence, and evidence summaries.
- File Management: Organize and maintain case files, records, and legal documents.
- Communication: Liaise with clients, court officials, and other stakeholders regarding case updates and document requests.
- Support: Provide administrative support to attorneys in trial preparation and other legal proceedings.

## Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a paralegal or in a related legal support role.
- Education:
- Associates degree or certificate in Paralegal Studies; a Bachelor's degree in a related field is an advantage.
- Knowledge:
- Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Basic understanding of Alaska laws and local legal procedures is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with legal research databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw).
- Communication:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with attorneys, clients, and staff.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in document preparation and research.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
