Beautiful Military Macaw is looking for a new home, approx. 13 years old. I was told it is a male but I do not know for sure. He is unable to fly and is missing a small portion of one toe from a very young age (he is not affected by this). I do not know why he can not fly. He is slightly cage aggressive but is friendly to females once out of the cage. He much prefers females over males. He will step up and likes to be scratched on the head and enjoys taking a bath. I have transitioned him to a diet of Harrison pellets high potency and daily chop. He is not a plucker and is fully feathered. Feathers should also improve on his new diet. He will come with his cage he came with. However, it is not nearly big enough for a macaw. He does enjoy staying out all day. He not a screamer and enjoys being around people and does not bother my dogs.
