Solstice needs a new home for no fault of his own. He was born in April of 2024 and is a super mutt, with probably 10+ breeds with the top being Husky. He is fairly low energy and low maintenance, is calm indoors, and is perfectly happy with a doggy door and a fenced yard with a morning and evening session of fetch with occasional walks, hikes, or trips to the dog park. Or a jog in the morning and a brisk walk in the evening if you don't have a fenced yard. He is good with other dogs, and needs another dog playmate to be happy as he is very social. I will not rehome him as an only dog unless you are home a lot. He's not used to being alone and probably wouldn't adjust to it very well.
He is friendly with new people, but not so friendly that he would hop in the car with a stranger. He rides well in a car, and loves going on adventures. He walks well on a leash, doesn’t jump on people or counter surf, but he does occasionally escape, so a good fence is needed. He loves to play fetch, wrestle with other dogs, go hiking, and snuggle. He stays close to home if he gets outside, and he has decent off leash recall.
He doesn't over eat, has a moderate appetite, isn't picky about food, and is very food motivated with high value treats. He is 53 lbs and is pretty stocky. He is potty trained and needs to be fixed. I will pay for his neuter surgery.
