Private Pilot Ground school taught by an ATP rated pilot who holds an Airframe and Powerplant certificate. Subjects included are Aerodynamics, Aircraft Systems, Weight & Balance, Performance graphs, Maintenance Logbook Entries, Emergency Procedures, Runway Incursion Avoidance, Pilot Operations at Towered and Non-Towered Airports, National airspace, FAR (Federal Aviation Regulations), Part 93, Right of Way Rules, Personal Minimums, Military operations, Intercept Procedures, Wake Turbulence avoidance, Anchorage International, Lake Hood and Merrill Field operations, Weather including Air Masses through Thunderstorm avoidance, AIM (Airman's Information manual), Alaska Supplement, VFR arrival and departure routes, Plotting Cross-country flights and other important safety related subjects. Classes are held at our office at Lake Hood in Anchorage for 8 weeks with classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
