The iconic Winchester Model 1897 shotgun was invented by the legendary firearms designer John Moses Browning, who created it as a stronger, improved pump-action version of his earlier Model 1893, making it capable of handling smokeless powder shells and becoming a durable classic used by soldiers in WWI as the "Trench Gun". This nice example is all original and has retained much of its original finish, is a takedown model which breaks into a convenient transportable 2 piece reciever and barrel assemblies.
