For sale is a Mosin Nagant 1891/59. History on these rifles is muddled, and the story goes, that the Bulgarians, Czechs, or the Russians cut down these 91/30s in the late 50's to early 60's. This particular example is a 1933 manufactured at Ishevsk. The numbers were force matched when they were cut down, and the Arshens past 1000 are milled off. All of the arsenal gunsmithing was done meticulously. The force matched numbers are stamped in and not electropencilled like some Mosins of the day. The rifling is a bit pitted, but the lands and grooves are strong and is very accurate. Trigger pull is short and clean and quite refined. It is NOT counterbored. These guns are farely rare as Mosins go, especially hex receivers, and far exceed the condition of most factory original M38 models. Come check it out, you won't be dissappointed. Price is exactly what I paid, and firm.
