Essential Elements of the Job
Install plumbing systems by assembling, positioning, sealing valves, fittings, and pipe.
Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, and broken pipes.
Install and service a variety of boilers, water heaters, and water treatment systems.
Install new plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
Provide preventative maintenance services to ensure the longevity of plumbing systems.
Inspect work to ensure conformity to specifications.
Responsible for keeping and maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to problem-solve and diagnose service issues, obtain any replacement parts, and educate the client fully on what the issue is and what corrective action is needed to fix the issue.
Ability to complete necessary paperwork and notes for each call.
Reliable transportation to the shop, and a clean driving record.
Excellent time management and people skills.
Company van during the work day. Follow all safety protocols while driving the company vehicle, and performing job functions in the company shop.
Electronically process credit card payments.
Maintain proper stock, parts, and tools on the service van.
Additional Responsibilities of the Job
Maintain good working order of company vehicle including refueling as necessary and reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
Travel to job sites in the service area, and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are effectively communicated to the customer.
Document all installed equipment upon arrival; make, model, and serial number.
Heating: 2 years minimum.
Plumbing : 2 years minimum.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge in troubleshooting and repairing gas and oil burners.
Installation of natural gas and oil boilers and furnaces.
Maintenance and cleaning of oil burner systems and controls.
Schedule & Location:
8 Hour Shifts
Possible On Call for Emergency Service, Rotating Shifts

Compensation: $30 - $45/hr. (DOE)
