Closing down our goat herd. We have two registered mini-alpine does who are in milk (this is their second freshening). The brown doe is giving us between a quart and a quart plus a pint per milking (more than a 1/2 gallon a day.) Her milk is really delicious and sweet. The buckskin is currently nursing 3 bucklings and we are not milking her, but last year she was giving us a similar amount. They are both 2 and 1/2 years old.
The buckling is 8 weeks old and was dam-raised but he has been handled a lot and is very sweet. The doeling, Nora, is our special girl. She was born 2 weeks early and we managed to keep her alive in our house, bottle-fed, until she was strong enough to rejoin the herd. She is extremely sweet and very people-oriented and comes when we call her. She would be about 8 weeks old if she had made it until her due date. Both kids are disbudded and their sire, Moon, is also a registered mini-alpine.
Make us an offer.
