We have a 3 year old pineapple conure (we believe is a male but have never had him sexed) that we’re looking to rehome to a more bird friendly home. Skittles currently lives with three cats and we’ve had enough close encounters to convince us that he’s not safe.
He is hand tame, LOVES snuggles and being talked to and he is extremely vocal! We’ve heard conures aren’t good talkers but nobody told this guy that! He says good morning, hi, pretty bird, mom, what, love you, and many more grumbled phrases (he is constantly adding new words to his list). He’s a great eater and loves pellets, seeds, fresh fruits and whatever he can steal off of our dinner plates. He enjoys playing with toys and just being a part of the family watching tv. He is fairly quiet for a conure, he doesn’t scream or contact call nonstop as long as he’s where’s the action is.
Skittles will come with his cage, whatever toys he hasn’t destroyed by the time of his rehome, his food, one large play stand and a smaller table top play stand. We paid well over fifteen hundred for everything but we’re asking a reasonable rehome of $500.
