I have a 3-year-old intact male St. Bernard free to good home. He has been raised with chickens small children and other animals and has always done fine he is very leery of strangers and protective over his humans. He has recently bit my oldest son he did not draw blood nor break the skin and immediately knew he did wrong but I have younger boys and I cannot take that chance anymore. I think with the right home and training or neutering and training he would be a fantastic dog. The situation was a delivery person came right by the front door my oldest son went to take him away from the front door so he wouldn't try to go out and later we found out once he's on his bed he thinks that he's in charge and will not be moved and that was the cause of the bite. We got him at a very young age the mother stopped feeding them and the owner was going to just put them on dog food so we thought we were doing the best thing for him and took him home and put him on formula but after doing a lot of research we found out that he should have stayed with the mom so he got taught how to be a dog. From the research I have done dogs like this are way more prone to anxiety like he has shown and fear. We are trying to find the right home for him the only other option is to put him down we have contacted every shelter in the area and nobody will take him because of his size. Key: ftgh
