I bought this rig in the hopes to restore it and then take out customers on photo workshops.
Though it’s 95% restored and uninstalled parts on hand.
I have pretty much retired from photography and have no more use for it, that and I’d like to start another classic rebuild (GTO or Bronco).
I stripped it down to the rear bucket, sanded it down to the aluminum and had it repainted official Grasmere Green
Replaced:
Bulkhead
Wiring loop
All Window Seals
All Door Seals
Roof Seal
Front seats
Front doors
Windshield
Indicator (signal) lights + hazard switch and seals
Steering wheel
Steering shaft
Front end steering linkage
Brakes to include pads, Drums, cylinders and brake lines (have rear drums on hand as they did not need to be replaced)
Brake and Clutch Master Cylinders
ADDED:
- Installed 20,000 BTU Mt. Mansfield Heater and Distribution Box (still need to route hoses to windshield.
- Also swapped out the Dormobile top for the safari style and replaced old headliner
- Rear bench seat reupholstered
- Sound Proofing (floors, rear bucket) (Still have a few boxes to do doors)
