Words on Paper are Not Enough
by Mike Baker
The Constitution was written in order to limit the powers of government. However, it has become painfully obvious that it has failed to do so. Apparently, words on paper just aren't enough to force our Nation's elected representatives to conform to the letter or the spirit of the Constitution. Instead, most politicians and bureaucrats spend much of their time developing new ways to subvert the Constitution, in complete violation of the sacred oaths to uphold and defend it.

In short, most of the political whores who pretend to serve us are, in fact, perjurers and traitors who should be serving terms in jail rather than terms in office. And if We The People don't begin to choose leaders with genuine integrity; ones who will actually fulfill their oaths to the Constitution, then America is doomed to suffer the same downward spiral that has been the fate of every other great civilization in history.

It will only be with a renewed respect for the Constitution and the founding principles of this Nation that we Americans will ever be able to recover our lost Liberties and our lost Prosperity.

Surely, the Supreme Law of The Land, is preferable to the arbitrary law of the jungle. If we truly want a government that's of the people, by the people, and for the people, then we must not only support and defend the Constitution, we must also rekindle a national spirit of dedication to the principles of individual "liberty and justice for all" which gave birth to that document in the first place. Without this spirit, words on paper are meaningless.
