We want to believe that we can steer our government by electing new officials. However, since we surrendered our Freedom on 9/11, the national security-military-police complex which has been grown up around us has essentially become a government unto itself, separate from the one we elect, with virtually no accountability, transparency, or checks and balances of any kind. Now, our elected representatives are nothing more than a cover for an iron-fisted, leftist bureaucracy, which seized power from The American People.
