I'm doing an upgrade project on my boat and am selling the old motor. This is a 2021 Yamaha F40JEHA jet drive outboard motor. It comes with spare parts (plugs, liner, impeller, bolts, etc.) and an hour-tach-trim gauge.
The motor has been used for about four weekend trips a year since we got it, so pretty light use.
The powerhead is a 40HP model, but it is rated and labeled as a 30HP model since you lose some power when you switch to the jet drive.
This motor would be perfect for a boat about 16" long and 6' wide. It would also work great on any of the smaller zodiac style boats.
We've been using this on our G3 boat for a few years now. Ours is a big boat though (17' long, 8' wide) and really needs a bigger motor. With this engine we can always get on plane and go upriver against the big Susitna, but we wanted to have some more power in reserve.
I've kept up with the maintenance perfectly - we depended on this engine for our lives in the backcountry. The engine was always flushed after trips, oil changed each season, and the jet bearing greased after each day's use.
Let me know if you're interested. These motors run over $8,000 new, and with such light use this one is a steal. We got good use out of it though, and need to get the space back in the garage.
